Where to stay in Sukhumvit, Bangkok: Shama Lakeview Asoke

The last place I stayed in Bangkok was the Shama Lakeview Asoke, in a one room apartment, with a stunning view over Bangkok.

The hotel

Shama Lakeview Asoke is made of two towers connected by a walkway at the ground floor. One of the towers was under renovation, and had pool, gym, and golf course, while the other tower had the breakfast restaurant at its ground floor. There are Shama serviced apartments also In China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Australia, and they are part of a bigger hospitality group – Onyx, with hotels all around Asia. The Shama Lakeview Asoke offer ranges from studios to 3 room appartments, all fully equipped with a kitchen and a washer dryer.

Location

In the heart of the Central Business District of Bangkok, Shama Lakeview Asoke is perfect for business travelers as well as tourists who want some extra comfort. Less than 1km away from the Terminal 21 shopping centre and the Asoke BTS station, the hotel is in an area full of shops, and even a 24/7 supermarket close by. On top of all this convenience, there’s also the Benjakitti Park close by, giving you gorgeous views.

Facilities

In that heat, having a pool is mandatory! With towels, flavored water and floaties provided, you are in for fun by the pool for sure! If you are not in the mood for the pool, there’s 24/7 fitness room, sauna and jacuzzi.

Breakfast is provided every morning, having a moderate variety of dishes – this is understandable considering the fact that, if you are a long term stayer, you can make your own food in the apartment. If you missed breakfast and are not in the mood for cooking, there’s an all day dining restaurant waiting for you.
