Many people shy away from wearing faux leather when it’s something else than shoes or jackets. It may seem like it gives a rough vibe (at least that is what I thought up until a few years ago), but you can style faux leather in any way you want!
Leather is actually a soft material and can be made more feminine or more masculine depending on how you style it. In the past year, I have experimented to faux leather leggings, skirt, dress, jacket and even shorts! As the cold season is here, I chose to style the leggings, the skirt and the dress into outfits that will keep you warm.
Faux leather mini dress
One of my favourite leather pieces has been this faux leather dress. Because it has buttons and it is rather loose overall, I can wear it both as a dress and as a jacket! Here I opted to wear it as a dress, with a warm turtleneck under and a faux leather belt to accentuate the waist.
Black faux leather mini skirt
This skirt can actually be worn all year round. Due to its cut, this black faux leather mini skirt is perfect in summer as it doesn’t stick to your legs. In winter, it’s perfect with any top you want actually – from turtlenecks to chunky sweaters. Layering is key in winter, so don’t forget to add as much as you want to stay warm.
How to style faux leather leggings
Faux leather leggings seem to actually be the most popular faux leather clothing item, after the biker jackets. And for a good reason – they are super easy to style and you can basically wear them with anything you want, from tees, tank tops and delicate blouses in the warmer season, to sweaters and knits in the colder season. When it comes to shoes, any type of sneaker, heel or boot goes well with faux leather leggings.
I hope that I have given you some inspiration to style a faux leather outfit easily! Leather in general may seem intimidating or difficult to wear, but it’s actually such a versatile material! No matter what, don’t forget to add warm leggings and boots to complete your looks!

I am a big fan of leather and faux leather! I love all of these pieces you shared, but the dress is my favorite! How fun! Thanks for linking with me!
