We all have a comfy cute summer dress that we would love to take into colder weather. In my case, it’s a sleeveless cotton leopard print dress. And the simplest way to take it into fall and winter is by layering. With summer dresses being thin and/or sleeveless, this is a must. Check out the 4 ways I styled my animal print dress and let me know how you would style it yourself!
Semi-formal: Leopard print dress with blazer
For a more formal look, all you have to do is add your favorite black blazer. You are ready for work, your interview or that conference where you are speaking! The dress brings some playfulness and makes an otherwise boring outfit into something eye-catching!
Casual: With graphic tee
For a quick casual look, add your favorite t-shirt! I can either be a crop top, or if it’s a longer tee, you can make a knot on the side to accentuate your waist. This outfit is perfect for a walk in the park or going shopping!
Casual chic: With shirt
If you are looking for a chicer alternative, you can pair your leopard print dress with your favorite shirt! Leopard print can be surprisingly versatile, so you can try not only with black or white shirts, but also bolder colours or even denim! It can also depend on the cut of the shirt and your body type, so just have fun experimenting. In my case, I went for a khaki shirt that I knotted at the waist.
Rock chic: With leather
Bold a bold, rock chic look, how about styling your summer dress with leather? I happened to have both a skirt and a jacket from fake leather! I love the femininity of the print and the skirt mixed with the masculinity of the leather. Depending on your summer dress, you could even go for a leather pencil skirt and high heels!
Let me know in the comments below how you would style a summer animal print dress for cold weather!

That dress is so cute! I would definitely go with the leather jacket or graphic tee. Great idea on the tee, btw, I never would have thought of that! Another way to go would be a long sleeve or turtleneck under the dress 🙂
