My holidays to the South of France have already started, with the first stop in Lyon, just enough to have an evening walk. We explored a bit the old city centre and took the stairs up to the Basilique de la Fourvière. The stairs and the uphill walk was not much fun for me, but at least we had really nice views of the city. Thankfully, on the way back we took the funiculaire and we were right back in the centre. By walking from there to our hotel, we realised how close the hotel actuall was to the centre, the city hall and the shopping area (and a Starbucks of course). We also tried the Rosette de Lyon, a type of pork sausage which is delicious!

Have you been to Lyon? What do you recommend doing there?
Don’t forget to follow me!

Yes is it! for me it was the second time, but unfortunately, both times I had a few hours to spend there.
What an incredible place! You are so lucky to get to spend some time there! Everything looks so beautiful and full of wonderful history! I do love that no matter where you are there is always a starbucks! 🙂

There are so many French cities I have to explore yet and now Lyon is on my list, too 😉
