I have already talked about Shama Lakeview Asoke, but now I’ll go into more detail about their various apartments and their views.
Location
The location has to be the perfect one! Just a few minutes from the Asoke BTS station – you can even request a tuk tuk from the hotel to take you there. It’s in Sukhumvit, so that’s full of shops, and restaurants. With the Benchakitti Park close by, you don’t only get amazing views of the park and Bangkok’s skyline, but it’s also a great place to jog.
The hotel is on a side street from Sukhumvit, less crowded, but full of street food stalls, cafés, massage parlors, shops and even a 24/7 supermarket! Perfect when you consider that all apartments in the building come with a kitchen!
Studio apartment
Upon arrival, we were first settles in a studio apartment in the tower that was just being renovated. Upon entrance, we were welcomed by the small eating area and kitchen (plus a washer and drier machine). The one room joins a sleeping area and a living room area. This cosy studio was completed by a roomy balcony and a lake view!
We were already in love with the room, its view and amenities. However, there seemed to be an issue with the keycards for the room. Because of this, we were moved into the other tower, into an even better place – a one room apartment with a gigantic terrace.
One room apartment
Even if the start might sound rocky, I must stay that it all went completely smooth. The customer service was just flawless, and because of this, we were offered a complimentary bottle of champagne to make up for the issue with the rooms and the change.
I was overwhelmed by the amazing terrace and its views upon enterring. Being a bigger apartment than the studio, the kitchen and eating area were bigger, leading into a living room area with couch and TV, and then a separate room as the bedroom. From all the parts of the apartment you could exit on the terrace.
If I would ever need to stay for longer term in Bangkok, I would definitely stay at Shama Lakeview Asoke and I recommend them wholeheartedly! I was extremely impressed by not only the amenities and the design, but ultimately, what make a hotel a great place to stay, is the customer service!
Reading this makes me miss Thailand! Thanks for bringing up some memories :))
