Somehow at some point, I noticed all over Instagram and the internet in general, these gold crystal collagen masks, that can be for the face, the lips, the eyes and the neck (now also for the nose apparently!). I went over to ebay (my go to source for anything) and found that they are not that expensive (also they don’t have real gold on them, duh) and said “why not?”. At around 1$ per pair of masks, it’s the normal price of 1 sheet mask or pair of eye masks. And it’s worth giving it a try!
These Gold Crystal Collagen Masks are amazing!
They contain collagen, hyaluronic acid and lavender essential oil, among other things, so these are definitely the things you are looking for if you want smooth skin and prevent early aging signs.
When you open the package, you have to be careful, as there is a lot of liquid in it (which I use as an essence the next day – would this be an issue? ). They are quite slippery to keep on the face, especially the lip mask. And for the neck mask, you definitely have to lie down (you can even keep it overnight).
As with any mask, as soon as you take them out of the package, put them on your face and gently press so that they stick to the skin everywhere. As they can be quite slippery , this is important! You should check them from time to time and readjust them. After 20 minutes, remove the mask and pat the remaining essence into the skin. Immediately after, the skin will look brighter, smoother and feel softer (not a huge difference, but you will feel a change).
The eye masks and the face masks can be purchase somewhere else for the same price, but what I did not find cheaper than this are the lip and the neck masks. I will definitely purchase those again.
The lip mask is amazing in winter and in general, especially if you wear matte lipstick (like me). Actually, it is great to use it also in summer, at the end of the day. Sun’s rays are really unforgiving.
The neck mask is best to be used before sleep but I don’t now if I could wear it all night. If you twist and turn like me, it would be impossible and I am sure the poor mask would end up on the floor or crushed under me. Again, as soon as you pass 25 years old, fine wrinkles start to appear on the neck too, so don’t neglect it!
I did not have any side effects, and I made sure to have the face perfectly clean before putting the masks. Compared to the other masks that I have tried, these gold crystal collagen masks moisturize the same, but the fact that they are golden makes the process a bit more luxurious. I would definitely recommend giving them a try, especially because they are such a low cost pampering session!
Have you tried these Gold Crystal Collagen Masks before? If not, would you give them a try? If yes, what was your experience like?
